Work At Home Job Leads: Jan 12

I know it’s been a long time since I’ve posted work at home job leads. I also know the start of a new year there’s not a whole lot of exciting job leads to post. A lot of them look pretty crappy to me and I didn’t feel it was worth posting or let alone worth your time to fully research them.
I hope this year you will find the work at home job you’re looking for or at least have a few eggs in your basket.

Today’s work at home job search tip is reading and following directions. There have been times when recruiters will post an open position on high traffic work at home forums. It’s a dream come true for many because hey, the employer is coming to you. It’s extremely important to read carefully the job position and requirements and then carefully follow the instructions on how to apply.
I know there aren’t enough work at home jobs for everyone, but taking your time and doing it right will show the employer you’re reading, comprehending and able to follow directions. It’s not a race so take the time to present a relevant resume that will land you either an interview or a job.

Reporters/Writers – Asylum.com, the largest men’s lifestyle site on the Web, is looking for reporters to contribute to the site. Areas of interest include weird news, science, food, true crime, sex, politics, video games, entertainment and travel. We’re looking for writers who can report original stories and humorously analyze new trends — everything from the latest wave of serial killer memorabilia sites to new concoctions that bring oversize donuts to amazing heights. We’re also looking for writers who can cover local stories in places such as Los Angeles, Florida, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, New Orleans and Austin. We want people who have a passion for breaking new stories, not just re-hashing stories they’ve read. If you’re willing to scour through records, pound the pavement, search for the unusual, channel the zeitgeist and come up with intriguing stories, we’re interested in hearing from you. Please send your resume, pitches and relevant clips or links to asylumapplicants@gmail.com
Desired Skills
- Ability to develop sources and find new stories
- Firm grasp of AP style
- Ability to use Photoshop for cropping and touching up photos.
- Passion for breaking stories
- Understand how to work with a CMS
- Understanding of writing headlines and leads for SEO
Good Luck!
Sophia
