I used to clip a lot of store coupons, but I don’t seem to be doing it that much anymore simply because I don’t get any junk mail coming to my house.
When I was clipping coupons, I bought a wallet size, very sturdy cardboard accordian file holder for my coupons. It was already pre-printed with categories at the top and I just had to file my coupons in the appropriate slots. It was very handy because I could take the whole accordian file with me.
That’s one way to keep track of your coupons. Some other ways to store your clipped coupons until you need them is buying a photo album that holds 4×6 photos. The transparent protector sheets in the photo album has two slots. You can put as many coupons to fit into the 4×6 slot. You can use dividers, colour tabs or printed tabs for each category.
Recipe card holders work well for storing coupons too. Again use dividers to separate each category.
There are many different size containers you can use to store your coupons like shoe boxes, empty baby wipe container, disposal ziploc containers etc. and you can always decorate them to look pretty.
I think it’s best to file away your coupons as you’re clipping them. Organize them according to the expiry date. During this time you may also want to purge any coupons that have expired.
While you can’t really take your photo album to the grocery store with you, you can use a CD holder to store the coupons you’ll be using on your grocery shopping trip. The CD holder has clear pages and it has a zipper to prevent anything from falling out.
Do you have any organizing or storing tips for coupons?

Great tips Sophia!
I used to do a lot of couponing, I still do…but not as much as I used to. I like to store some of mine in an accordian file holder (like you suggested). I also keep some in a zipper closure bag in the glove box of our car but those are for special coupons (ex. gas, fast food, diners, movie theater, dry cleaning, video rentals, etc). The reason I keep those kinds in a zippy bag in our glove box in our car is that I often forget them when going out…or while we are out, we need gas or get hungry…so, keeping those types in the car at all times, saves me money :)
