One of the best tips that I have ever received and now pass along to my business associates who work from home is this.
Sit down and figure out how many hours a week you can spend working on your home business. Next, split those hours up to the days you are available to work.
Example: 20 hours a week split between 5 days would be 4 hours a day.
You can not just ‘fit’ your business in whenever you feel like it or around your summer schedule and children activities. If you adopt that policy, your business will lack the attention it deserves.
If you worked outside your home, you would have a business schedule so working from home should be no different.
Buy a desk planner and sit down and map out your business schedule on a weekly or monthly basis. The more hours you put into your business, the more you will get out of it. Try to follow your schedule as much as possible.
